Amandeep Drall wins second PGT title of the season

AMANDEEP WINS SECOND PGT TITLE OF THE SEASON

Amandeep Drall carded an even par round on the third day to win her second title of the season in the 5th leg of the Hero Women’s Professional Golf Tour at the Classic Golf & Country Club on Friday in Gurugram.
Finishing in second position was the overseas Thai professional Walailak Satarak with a total score of 214 at the Rs 8,00,000 event which culminated on Friday.
Panchkula’s Amandeep started her round with a bogey on the very first hole. She went on to drop another on the 7th hole, but with the help of birdies on the 8th and 9th she was able to finish with an even par front nine.

National champions Asgar Ali and Muhammad Mustafa underlined their supremacy here on Thursday while claiming the Biswa Bangla JK Tyre Himalayan Drive crown in style.
India’s TSD (Time, Speed and Distance) kings were in tremendous form in this demanding five-legged championship, taking the lead early on the first day and tenaciously hanging on to it till the very end. They tackled the tough hilly terrain, demanding forest paths and every obstacle that was thrown at them.
Deep Dutta and Prakash Muthuswamy finished second while Ashish Budhia and Arindam Ghosh took the last spot on the podium.

'DANGAL COACH' BECOMES INTERNATIONAL REFREE

Wrestler Kripa Shankar Patel Bishnoi, who shot to fame for training Bollywood star Aamir Khan in the blockbuster movie ‘Dangal’, has become an international match referee.
The United World wrestling (UWW) has announced the inclusion of the Arjuna awardee Bishnoi in its international panel of referees.
Bishnoi joined the long list of Indian referees at the international panel after clearing the examination for the Referees’ Courses, which was held last year by the world body at Dortmund, Germany.

Having won her first title in her first appearance in the last event, Vani Kapoor will look to adding another title to her tally in the fifth leg of the Hero Womens Professional Golf Tour being played at the Classic Golf and Country Club here from Wednesday

Delhi's Vani, who showed a glimpse of her immense talent in the previous event, will start as firm favourite in the fifth leg. 

Vani, currently placed ninth in the Hero Order of Merit with total earning of Rs 1,40,000 in one appearance will be up against a very strong field, and will face a stiff challenge from the likes of Amandeep Drall, Gaurika Bishnoi and Smriti Mehra.

India's Dronavalli Harika won her Third Consecutive Bronze Medal

DRONAVALLI HARIKA GETS BRONZE

Indian GM Dronavali Harika won her third bronze medal in a row after a heartbreaking defeat against Tan Zhongyi of China in a semi-final tie-breaker at the World Women's Chess Championship.
Harika missed several opportunities in the tie-breaker which was a battle of nerves. Tan will now play the finals against Anna Muzychuk of Ukraine.
